We depart early in the morning for the Colden Circle and geothermal power tour and our first stop is at the largest power plant in Iceland, “Hellisheiði”. This tour is operated in a minibus with maximum of 18 passengers. In the geothermal energy exhibition at Hellisheiði our passengers learn about volcanoes, hot springs, earthquakes and energy utilization through multimedia shows and guidance. The admission fee is included in the price. After the exhibition, we continue the journey to a small waterfall and beautiful called “Faxi”. Then we head on wards to the classic Golden Circle Classic route, Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot spring area and Þingvellir the national park. Lunch stop on the way (lunch not included in the price).
We start the trip in the new music hall in Reykjavik, Harpa, where we drive from to the south Iceland most popular tourist attractions which is located in a very active area. Our first stop is a geothermal power plant in Hellisheiði where people can see the how the geothermal power is harvested for renewable energy utilisation. In the geothermal power plant at Hellisheiði you learn about volcanoes, hot springs, earthquakes and energy utilisation through multimedia shows and guidance. After that we'll go to the small, beautiful and often forgotten waterfall, Faxi on our way to the more famous, the magnificent waterfall Gullfoss. There you can walk up to the waterfall and explore the landscape. One of our stops is Geysir hot spring area. There we will walk around and see the Strokkur, an active hot spring that shoots water up to 25 meters in the air every 5-10 minutes. Then we will go to Þingvellir, national park. Iceland´s oldest national park, where the old Viking parliament was established and where Europe and N-America is being forced apart and you can walk between them. There might be a surprise stop on the way but that depends on the guide, the weather and the guests. Our guides have stories in abundance about strange Icelanders, folklore, history and general life in Iceland. We will have short, easy walks on the sites visited. We recommend therefor to dress warm because the weather in Iceland can change in the matter of minutes. We can't wait to see you.

All day tours booked start from our sales desk & departures at Harpa Concert Hall, downtown Reykjavik, at the departure time given on your voucher. It is the passengers’ responsibility to arrive at our ticket desk in time to check in for their tour and to board the tour bus at the tour departure time written on their voucher. We offer a complimentary pick-up service in Reykjavík for all our day tours. Passengers wanting to take advantage of the pick-up service are requested to wait outside their hotel 30 minutes prior to tour departure.
